Welcome to the official website of  WESTERN CHEROKEE, a registered Missouri nonprofit corporation.  We understand that your time is valuable, therefore, follows a brief synopsis of the scope and scale of the mission of this tribe's nonprofit corporation.

• This corporation serves as conduit for the Western Cherokee Nation to conduct business for the benefit of the Citizens of the Western Cherokee Nation (the tribe). The purpose of the Western Cherokee nonprofit corporation is to maintain a structured entity for the sole benefit of the indigenous people collectively and commonly known as the Western Cherokee
• All actions of the Western Cherokee nonprofit corporation continue to be directed towards the goals of improving the quality of life of the Western Cherokee people in the areas of education, health care, economic development, religious and cultural preservation and education, heritage preservation, tribal owned lands infrastructure and commerce, natural resources management, as well as tribal land acquisitions and divestments.
• Please note that the tribe is not a corporation; the intent in the creation of the Western Cherokee nonprofit corporation is and continues to be for the purpose of improving the overall standard of living of the people of the Western Cherokee and the betterment of the communities they live in.
